How to plan a research project

There are a number of reasons why researchers experience difficulty with research. The most important of these are firstly- difficulties in selecting suitable topic. Secondly, the problem of selecting an appropriate analytical framework and thirdly inability to manage avaliable resources in particular their time.
The third reason is common at all of research and is often symptomatic of the previous two. Where researchers have problems in planning content, these often reflect themselves in wasting time and lack of progress. Planning is a useful tool in research work which enables a researcher to realize when he has run into serious difficulties. It also functions as motivational device that enables him achieve set goals. The major purposes of planning are as follows:
.To clarify the aims and objectives of the researcher
.To define the activities required to attain these aims and the order in which they take place
.To identify various critical points in the research at which progress can be reviewed and the research plan reassessed.
.To serve as a guide for increasing the likelihood of successful completion in time.
